Get Started

Visit one or more GOSH location(s) across nine regions of Texas. Each site includes selfie instructions, so grab your phone or digital camera and snap a photo of yourself as described in the entry. You can email your photos to magazine@tpwd.texas.gov with the subject line “GOSH 2024,” or post them on Instagram (public profile) with the hashtag #GOSH2024 to share the fun.

You can follow magazine photographer Maegan Lanham on her GOSH 2024 journey all summer long on our Instagram page, and check out the full gallery of GOSH participants here.

Conquer a Region

Complete all activities in a region and you’ll get a downloadable certificate commemorating your achievement, along with a shout-out in a future issue of Texas Parks & Wildlife magazine in which we’ll salute our GOSH participants.

For example, to complete the Panhandle region, you'll need to upload a total of five selfies, one corresponding to each of the tasks on pages 46–47 of the June 2024 issue of the magazine, or in the Panhandle section of the app or website (link below). Complete all activities across multiple regions — but not the entire state — and you’ll have additional bragging rights, although the prize is the same.

Be a GOSH Guru

Complete every activity on this year’s hunt by the deadline, and you’ll win the ultimate GOSH bragging rights and the admiration of the Texas Parks & Wildlife magazine staff.

For complete rules click here. You'll find all the GOSH challenges (along with driving directions) via the links below. You can also take GOSH with you all summer long when you download our magazine app for iOS or Android (it's free!). GOSH 2024 ends at midnight on Labor Day, Sept. 2, 2024.
