WHERE IN TEXAS
Fall color in Texas? It peeks out here and there — in places like Garner State Park. Even with the park's fall foliage, Texans tend to think of Garner as a summer destination. Reader Priscilla Pryor Garrett of Castroville says, "My family spent part of each summer at Garner — such a special place. There was nothing by camping, swimming in a very cold river, swinging from the rope swing just below Old Baldy, the paddle boats, fishing, miniature golf, horseback riding and, of course, the dances."
