WHERE IN TEXAS?
The red-rock country of the Texas Panhandle offers dramatic vistas. This location is none other than our very own Caprock Canyons State Park.
Reader Allison Peeler of Midland knew the answer. "My husband, Bruce, and I have been traveling the state and national parks with our kids (now adults) for many years," she says. "Only recently did we discover the incredible beauty and accessibility of Captrock Canyons State Park – one of my new favorite places in Texas! Where bison roam and the dirt is red!"
