Every Trail Leads to Adventure
National Trails Day, the first Saturday in June, is the country’s largest celebration of trails of every kind. To note the 30th anniversary, Texas state parks are planning hikes, bike rides, paddling trips and more.

If you’re looking for the perfect place to launch your kayak, pedal your mountain bike, wear out your running shoes or use those new binoculars, we can help. In every issue we feature a new adventure in Take a Hike. This month, check out the Ebony Trail at Resaca de la Palma State Park in the Valley.
Paddling trails: Find out more about these wonderful paddle-friendly waterways at tpwd.texas.gov/paddlingtrails and in our upcoming July 2022 issue.

Wildlife trails: Want to do some summer driving to see Texas’ fascinating wildlife? Check out our Great Texas Wildlife Trails at tpwd.texas.gov/wildlifetrails.
Hiking trails: Many state parks will offer hikes led by experts, or explore on your own. Find out what’s coming up at tpwd.texas.gov/calendar/hiking.
