Caddo Homecoming!
Celebrate 100 years of Texas State Parks with a fun-filled weekend of activities at Caddo Lake State Park. The festivities begin on Friday, April 14, with a showing of the 1987 film Harry and the Hendersons beginning at 8 p.m. Show up early to get your popcorn and viewing spot. On Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. visit outreach tables and presentations, go on guided hikes, and try your hand at canoeing, fishing, games, art and a sock hop. On Sunday from 9-11 a.m. the celebration wraps up with a contest for best retro-decorated campsite and a final sendoff event.

100 Years, 100 Species
Celebrate 100 years of Texas State Parks at Palmetto State Park by helping to identify 100 different native species. Entry is free.

South Llano River State Park
100 Years at South Llano River
In attendance at South Llano River’s 100-year celebration: Angora goats and wool, Model T Fords, quilters. The event also features an 8:30 a.m. bird walk, which requires registration.

Texas State Parks 100-Year Celebration
Enjoy natural and cultural table talks and activities for all; learn about fossils, hike the Bois ‘d Arc Trail to see CCC architecture and partake in other fun activities.

Bring a chair or blanket to the Visitor Center to hang out and enjoy some music. Pack plenty of water and good shoes for hiking.
