Stay at Indian Lodge

Indian Lodge, the park’s historic motel, is being renovated with updated plumbing systems (check back for opening dates). It was built in the 1930s in a southwestern architectural design style with adobe material excavated on-site. Originally a 16-room structure, the lodge is now a 39-room full-service hotel and restaurant that still reflects the highest level of CCC construction.

For visitors with a preference for camping, Davis Mountains State Park offers 93 campsites (not including the hike-in primitive sites) with water, electric and full-hookup options. At the water-only area, Ranger Charlie recommends site 81 because a row of trees offers privacy on the left and there are no neighbors on the right. The site is only a 30-second walk to the restrooms, making it the perfect spot for families. In the electricity area, sites at the end of cul-de-sacs, such as 49, 45 and 29, offer optimal privacy. Site 29 has the best of both worlds with a back-exit path directly to the restrooms.
