Dear Grackle,

Where do kids even hang out anymore? Malls are dead, concerts are too expensive, and even some coffee shops limit you to spending 1-2 hours there. I want to meet new friends and feel a sense of community in the city where I live — what do you recommend?

Dear Seeking,

Frankly I have no idea what you are talking about. There’s one place that all the cool kids — literally flocks of them — can hang out any day for as long as they want to. They don’t spend any money, but they DO create a ruckus, get in the way of pedestrians, flirt up a storm and generally wreak havoc. No one can do anything about it, either. 2-hour limit? I’d like to see them try. You want to know where the kids hang out these days? Look no further than your local H-E-B parking lot.
