Rocky Shores

Adventure awaits on the shores of Lake Texoma! Explore trails along high bluffs, splash at our sandy swimming cove, or fish for striped bass, crappie and catfish. Connect to nature just an hour north of Dallas.

Things to Do

Walk or bike more than four miles of trails. Find places to swim, boulder, geocache or picnic along the shoreline. Play horseshoes or enjoy a push on the swings. Look for native Texas wildflowers and for fossils left from an ancient ocean. (Remember: Take only photographs and leave only footprints.)

Fishing
Fish from one of our two fishing piers or from the shoreline. Fish into the night at the lighted fishing pier. We also have a fish cleaning station and a boat ramp with a courtesy dock.

  • Detailed fishing and lake information for Lake Texoma

  • Borrow rods, reels and tackle boxes with hooks, sinkers and bobbers to use in the park.

  • No fishing license is required when you fish from shore in a Texas state park!

OHV trail
Ride your ATV or dirt bike along our OHV trail and through beautiful backcountry woodland (OHV permit required).

Camping
Stay overnight at one of our campsites. Choose from basic tent sites up to pull-through sites for large RVs. Give our screened shelters or “Ike’s Cabin” a try.

Group sites
Reserve the picnic pavilion or recreation hall for reunions, birthdays, holidays and other large get-togethers.
