Memorial Park
Nearly twice the size of New York’s Central Park, Memorial Park’s almost 1,500 acres feature a 2.88-mile walking/jogging loop and six miles of mountain and recreational bike trails. The park’s Kinder Land Bridge and Prairie connects the park over Memorial Drive and provides safe crossing for people and wildlife.

It took only 18 minutes for the Texas Army to defeat Mexico’s forces at the Battle of San Jacinto, the decisive fight of the Texas Revolution. The San Jacinto Monument is a state and national historic landmark commemorating this historic battle.

Galveston-Port Bolivar Ferry
Take a round-trip ferry ride between Galveston Island and Port Bolivar. The crossing takes approximately 20 minutes, and you can walk or drive onto the ferry.
