2019-20 Texas Birding Calendar
Compiled by Desirae Parker
The Lone Star state has some of the most unique and diverse birds, boasting 650 species. We offer birding information and events that can help you better understand the species around you. So, grab your binoculars, get out, and join the fun! Beginning and experienced birders alike are invited to attend the community events below and increase their life list.
In addition to these events, a regularly updated calendar of events hosted at Texas Parks and Wildlife facilities can be found online (www.tpwd.state.tx.us/calendar). Click “Birding” for a complete list of bird walks, owl prowls, bird identification classes and more offered at various Texas State Parks, including the state park World Birding Centers. Additional events at the Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center and Sea Center Texas can be found by selecting “Site Calendars” from the list of options on the main calendar page.
