Eisenhower Birthplace
When asked for a list of Texan presidents, many people might forget the 34th president of the United States, Dwight D. Eisenhower. Though he grew up in Kansas, “Ike” was born in Denison in 1890. History buffs can tour his birthplace, filled with antique furnishings. The visitors center contains memorabilia and exhibits featuring his accomplishments as president and war hero.
