Starting this month, Texas Parks & Wildlife magazine is proud to present the second annual round of Bird Bingo, a months-long game in which participants attempt to achieve a “bingo” and win prizes by spotting birds listed on one of several regional bingo cards.
We were so grateful for your participation last year! This year, we've aligned our regional cards with our Great Texas Wildlife Trails, so visit their website, tpwd.texas.gov/wildlifetrails, to find some suggested birding locations in each region.
How to Play
To find more information and download regional cards, visit texasbirdbingo.com. Or, pick up a regional card at almost any of our state parks. As you see the birds identified on the card, tag them with an “X” or some other mark. Cover a row of birds in any of three directions (horizontally, vertically or diagonally) and you've got a bird bingo!
Email a photo of your completed bird bingo card to the email address on the card, and we'll send you a Texas Bird Bingo sticker. You'll also be entered to win four passes to the 2026 Birding the Border Festival. For complete rules and information, as well as a selection of regional cards, visit texasbirdbingo.com
Each bingo is one entry, and you can submit several entries on one card. A blackout (entire card full) on a regional card is five entries. The game runs from the issue date of this magazine through the end of November 2025, so grab a pen or pencil and get birding!
