Jack Ben Rabbit

Standing eight feet tall, Odessa’s Jack Ben Rabbit held the title of the largest jackrabbit statue in the world for years. Jack is no longer the tallest — he lost the title in 2017 to a 14.5-foot rabbit statue in Ralls — but he’s still a West Texas icon.

El Paso Mission Trail

The El Paso Mission Trail’s origin dates back more than 400 years to the original Franciscan mission, Nuestra Señora de La Limpia Concepción de los Piros de Socorro del Sur, founded in 1682. Today, the trail stretches nine miles and is home to the oldest churches in Texas: Ysleta Mission, Socorro Mission and San Elizario Chapel.
