Help the Hungry by Donating Venison

Love to hunt but don’t have use for all the meat you’ll harvest? You can help feed hungry Texans with lean, healthy protein. Since its inception more than two decades ago, Hunters for the Hungry has provided more than 10 million servings of venison (2 million pounds) to Texans in need, thanks to generous hunters like you.

Did you know that 62 percent of food assistance providers reported needing more protein sources (meat, poultry, fish, beans, eggs, nuts) to serve their clients? You can help.

Bring your legally tagged, field-dressed white-tailed or mule deer to a participating meat processor, who will prepare and package the meat and partner with a local food bank to distribute it.

Even if you don’t hunt, you can donate to help cover expenses at bit.ly/TexasHuntersfortheHungry or check the box when you buy a Texas hunting and fishing license.
