WHERE IN TEXAS?
An elevated walkway puts visitors at eye level with treetops at this national wildlife refuge, which sits at a biological junction where sabal palms, scrub brush, marshes and cactus can be found. More than 400 bird species have been observed here, including black-bellied whistling ducks and green jays.
If you recognize this site, send us a note at Texas Parks & Wildlife magazine, 4200 Smith School Road, Austin, TX 78744 (write “Where in Texas?” on the envelope); email us at email@example.com; or let us know on Facebook. We’ll reveal the answer in a future issue.
