GOSH, It Was a Fun Summer!
The Great Outdoor Scavenger Hunt (GOSH) marked its fifth anniversary this summer, and Texans hit the road to celebrate the parks, waterways, food, wildscapes, historic places and quirky corners of the Lone Star State.
We hope you had as much fun as we did exploring Texas, and we loved seeing all of the selfies you posted to Instagram or emailed to our office. Here are a few of the highlights:
Dynamic duo: For the third year in a row, Cyndi and Jimmy Morris are GOSH gurus, having visited every GOSH location in Texas. Way to go! Y'all are nuts: The Central Texas region takes home the crown for the most GOSH selfies, thanks in large part (ha!) to Seguin's giant pecans — the most visited GOSH site in 2024. Henry's Puffy Tacos and the Llano River rounded out the top three selfie spots this year.
Start 'em young: At 8 months old, Danny Harris was the youngest GOSH participant.
Green beats blue: Parks narrowly edged out Splash as the most popular GOSH category. In last place: Food. Don't you people eat?
Put a sticker on it: We loved seeing your selfies with our GOSH stickers! We hope they now occupy a place of pride on your water bottle.
Regional royalty: Congrats to the following individuals, families and groups for completing at least one GOSH region this summer: Rowan Prothro, Anita Braun, Cyndi and Jimmy Morris, Jolie Jennings, @ampedupfun, Amanda Tooke, Nancy and Greg Poort, Roxanne Constable, Lori Greco, Imelda Ng, Craig and Devyn Braginton, Kirstin Tipps and family, Corine Garcia Maldonado, Jennee McHenry, Kira Byrer, Cheryl Clark, Sara Olson, Marge Reeves, Courtney Logan and Laura and Adriana Moord.
We can't wait to explore Texas again with you next summer with GOSH 2025!
